General

Questions

  • A: Hair extensions are strands of real or synthetic hair that are attached to your natural hair to add length, volume, or both. I use luxury Remy human hair, ensuring a natural blend and long-lasting results.

  • A: When fitted and maintained correctly, hair extensions do not damage your natural hair. I only use gentle methods that avoid harsh chemicals or excessive tension. Proper aftercare is key to keeping both your extensions and natural hair healthy.

  • A: This depends on the type of extensions and how well they are cared for. Nano rings, micro beads, and tape-ins last around 6-12 weeks before needing maintenance, while keratin bonds can last up to 5 months. The hair itself can last 12-18 months with the right aftercare.

  • A: Yes! You can curl, straighten, and style your extensions just like your natural hair. However, to maintain their lifespan, I recommend using heat protection and avoiding excessive heat near the bonds or tapes.

  • A: The best method depends on your hair type, lifestyle, and desired look. During your consultation, I’ll assess your natural hair and recommend the most suitable option for you.

  • A: Yes! Your hair should be at least 4-5 inches long for extensions to blend naturally.

  • A: Yes! Some methods, like nano rings and tape-ins, are designed to work perfectly with fine hair without causing damage.

  • A: The right amount of hair depends on several factors, including:

    1. Your past experience with extensions (if any)

    2. Your current hair length and thickness

    3. The look you want to achieve – subtle volume or a full transformation

    4. Your lifestyle and maintenance commitment

    5. Your budget

    6. Whether you're adding length, volume, or both

Don't worry—I’ll help you decide during your consultation. Even if you choose a specific option beforehand, you can always adjust during the fitting process to ensure the best result.

Consultation &

Booking

  • A: Yes, a consultation is essential! This allows me to assess your hair, discuss your goals, and recommend the best method, hair type, and length for you. We’ll also go over aftercare, pricing, and any concerns or issues you may have with your natural hair to ensure the best possible results.

  • When you decide to go ahead with your hair extensions, I’ll ask for a deposit covering the full cost of the hair. This is because once the hair is ordered, I can’t return it if you change your mind.

If you do need to cancel after the hair has been purchased, I can refund the hair cost minus a £50 fee, which covers my time at your consultation. The refund will be processed once the hair has been returned and the supplier issues a refund.

Cancellations must be made within 14 days of your consultation to be eligible for a refund. After that, the hair can’t be returned, so unfortunately, no refund can be given. If a refund is due, you can expect it within 30 days.

  • A: Fitting times vary depending on the method and amount of hair needed:

    • Nano Rings / Micro Beads: 2.5 - 3.5 hours

    • Tape-Ins: 1 - 1.5 hours

    • Weave Fitting: 1 - 2 hours

    • Keratin Bonds: 3 - 4 hours

  • You can book a consultation by sending me a message on my contact page. I try to respond to all messages within 24hrs.

  • A: Consultations usually take 20-30 minutes, giving us plenty of time to assess your hair, discuss your desired look, and go over the best extension method for you.

  • A: No, consultations are completely obligation-free. If you decide to go ahead, we can book your fitting and order your hair, but if you need time to think about it, that’s totally fine too!

Maintenance &

Aftercare

  • A: To keep your extensions looking their best, maintenance is recommended every:

    • Nano Rings & Micro Beads: 8-12 weeks

    • Tape-Ins: 6-8 weeks

    • Weaves: 6-8 weeks

    • Keratin Bonds: 3-5 months (as they naturally shed with your hair)

  • A: Yes, but gentle care is key! Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, avoid excessive scrubbing near the bonds/rings, and always dry your hair thoroughly after washing.

  • Q: Can I dye my hair extensions?
A: It is not advised to tone or dye your extensions. If the extensions are high quality and have been perfectly color-matched, there should be no need to alter the shade. As hair extensions have already been processed, dyeing them can affect their quality and lifespan. It’s always best to select the right shade from the start to ensure the best results.

  • A: Use a soft-bristle brush or a special extension brush to prevent tugging on the bonds or tapes. Start brushing from the ends and work your way up, holding the hair at the root to avoid unnecessary tension. Avoid brushing when your hair is wet, as this can cause breakage.

  • A: Brush your hair at least twice a day, avoid excessive heat styling, and tie it up when sleeping or exercising. Using a silk pillowcase or a silk bonnet can also help reduce friction and tangling.

Removal & Reuse

  • A: It’s completely normal to see some hair shed during removal. Over the time your extensions have been in, your natural hair has continued its usual shedding cycle, but these hairs were held in place by the bonds or rings. When the extensions are removed, those naturally shed hairs will be released all at once. Rest assured, this is a normal process, and your hair will look just as it did before your extensions were fitted.

  • A: Yes! Nano rings, micro beads, weaves, and tape-ins can be reused multiple times with new fittings. Keratin bonds, however, cannot be reused as they are melted to the hair during application.

  • A: No problem! Your natural hair will continue to grow normally underneath. If you decide to take a break, I’ll give you tips on how to keep your hair healthy in between fittings. If your extensions are still in good, reusable condition, I can carefully remove and package them for safe storage, so they’re ready to be refitted whenever you decide to have extensions again.

  • A: It’s not recommended to remove your extensions yourself, as this can cause breakage or damage to your natural hair. Professional removal ensures the bonds or tapes are properly loosened and taken out without pulling on your hair.

  • A: Yes, your hair may feel lighter and thinner at first, but this is completely normal. You get used to the extra volume with extensions, so your natural hair can seem finer once they’re removed. Rest assured, your hair will return to its normal state within a few washes.
